By DigitalMan
Going from a mountain bike with two sided SPD pedals to a road bike with these single sided pedals did take some practice getting clipped in without looking, and thus taking my eyes off the road, but I really like the firm platform these pedals give me. My foot feels firm and the distribution of the pedaling load feels comfortable and my foot is secure. They are carbon, so they are light but to be honest since I am not a competitive cyclist I probably could have gotten the cheaper aluminum version and been just as happy. The adjustable cleat release tension along with cleats that float up to 6 degrees are the most important features as they let you dial in fit and comfort most precisely.

By Isaac
I bought these to upgrade previous Shimano pedals, which will go on my other bike.
I like/need the wide platform to match my wide dogs encased in my Sidi Genius 6.6 Mega shoes.
These pedals provide a solid connection. The weight difference betwen the SL and Carbon is negligible unless you race. I'm still working on adjusting the float setting.
good price when on sale.

Good quality pedal and easy install. Not sure the carbon model is worth the extra but got them on sale
