5Works great for an amputee!
By BobbyLee
After losing my left leg in an accident, I was cautious about riding again. My problem was my prostesis kept hitting the crank arm and knocking my 'foot' off of the pedal. Tried several different manufacturers and hit on this Shimano model. First let me tell you, these pedals work great. Easy to engage and equally easy to 'unclip'. I have them set a couple turns up from the lightest setting. This seems to work best. As far as my prostesis goes, it keeps my foot parallel to the crank arm and no more hitting it every revolution. The great price here was the real selling point. Why buy at a shop and pay double? These make my riding a pleasure again.

5Great Clipless pedals
By Robert Kinley
I got into mountain biking about 4 months ago. I started out using the platform pedals. I had a friend loan me some Shimano PD-M747 pedals from late 1990's and I really liked them. I picked these up since they seem to be a new model. The default setting is pretty tight! I loosened them up about 6 clicks so I could clip out on the trail if needed. I have used them on two different trails with lots of up and downhills and no false deployments yet. Easy to install with 8mm hex wrench. Very lightweight. Hopefully they will last, but Shimano makes good gear, no question!

5The best there is!
By Robert Cawthorne
Check out some of the pro cyclocross riders bikes, this is what they are using. The build quality and in and out dependability are unmatched.
