Serious Quality

When I was a teenager my foot slipped off a pedal and I tore my achilles tendon when it came back around. But I don't like clippers. So yeah, it's important for me to feel safe.

Out of the 5 or so platform pedals I have used, these are by far the best fit and feel for me. I put them on my Karate Monkey and hit the trails and I feel like a kid again, with no vestiges of the psychological fears left over from my accident.

Your shoes will stick to these pedals like glue. I would recommend taking a few of the pegs off even, play around for your best feel.

I wish I could give a more thorough comparative review, why you would or would not buy these compared to pedals at other price levels. My last pedals were Eastons for around $40-$50 I believe, and they were fine, but somehow these Straitlines just make me feel secure.

Full disclosure, I am getting money back from insurance on a stolen bike, so I didn't have to pinch pennies as much as I might otherwise. But I hate reviews of price or Amazon service.

In summary, the Straitline Platform Pedals are an awesome product, there can be no doubt. It's up to you to do your own budgeting. Good luck.

Great set of flat pedals

Tried "clipless", just not for me, started looking for flat pedals, Straitline highly rated. I purchased them and have been very pleased.I would recommend Straitline for anyone looking for an alternative to "clipless".

great pedals

Superglues to your shoes. I like how the clip is recessed inside keeping it from possibly getting knocked off. I did experience these pedals get squeaky due to the non bearing design but is easily disassembled, cleaned and relubed.
