I have only used these pedals a couple of times and love them already. They are wide for more contact with your foot. The pegs are nice and hold your foot securely in place. You can still easily remove your foot from the pedal in an emergency, just lift your foot a little and it is free from the pegs. I have been riding in the snow and have needed to put my foot down quickly to avoid a crash more than once and it was not a problem. The pedals are also very lightweight and a great price.

I was looking at Azonic and Crank brother 5050xx's. I am very pleased with my 420 purchase. The finish is durable and they are lighter than most other platforms in the $100 price range. I also want to metion; they look great!

I put these on my road bike. I'm getting older & less agile than I once was. For this reason I needed some flat petals with good foot traction & plenty of foot support. I, also, found some rubber sole biking shoes with a plate inside. The petals in combo with the shoes are just what I needed.
